“When I returned from Woodstock on a Monday morning in August of 1969, I was buoyed by the solidarity of Woodstock Nation. The feeling was we could survive anything the Establishment threw at us. Over the ensuing years, this confidence has evaporated to where I wonder if we could come together upon anything because clearly ‘we have lost that loving feeling’. Will the me-generation turn into the we-generation before it’s too late?”
